THESE COLORS! What can I say, I feel like I am on a Caribbean Island and lost in the Azure colors of that world. I just had to use the yellow to juxtapose the blues, the most beautiful blues of the Caribbean ocean. This piece draws me in with its happy and peaceful colors. They are alive and soothing at the same time. Let the blue wash over you.

This piece is the most beautiful color blue … like the ocean! This started as a piece where I wanted to see what color variations I could get if I just used blue, yellow, titan buff, black and white. Yes only 5 “colors”. Using a limited Palette helps keep the painting more unified that if the whole color palette was in use. The blue and yellow mixed with titan buff and white and black separately creates tints and tones that really enhance the blue and create that nice, not out of a tube, gray color! The yellow spots create a glow and an area of interest. Overall its the feel that I got from this painting that made me stop and just enjoy it. You know its done when you can connect with the piece and it brings a feeling when you look at it. This one says Ocean, Azure, relaxation and peace to me.
