fingerlake midnight

I painted this piece for a “blue” show. All paintings had to be done with a range of blue colors. Again this is a bit of an Abstract Landscape for me. Our house in the FIngerlakes of NY State has a nice view of Seneca Lake, the largest Fingerlake. Across the way from our house is a nice view of the hills and on the other side of the hills is another finger ake (Cayuga) and the City of Ithaca. This is a lovely area and the hills and water and sky are very inviting. This piece reminds me of that view at night! It is beautiful there in the Fingerlakes at night with the stars out and everything around you this amazing twilight blue color summoning you.
